Meet CHANEL like art: NUIR ART opens August 1 in Dogenzaka, Shibuya

On Saturday, August 1, 2026, NUIR ART — a vintage shop devoted entirely to CHANEL — opens in Dogenzaka, Shibuya. NUIR VINTAGE's fifth store, it houses around 1,000 CHANEL bags gathered from all over the world. More than a place to shop, it is an experiential store where you can enjoy the bags the way you would appreciate works of art.
A world of blue and white, far from the Shibuya crowds
The interior is grounded in cobalt blue and white, inspired by the sea and the sky. The shop is only about a five-minute walk from Shibuya Station, yet once you step through the door the noise of the city falls away — and you can take your time savoring the shapes, materials, colors, and history of the bags, as if strolling through a gallery.
Around 1,000 bags, each with its own character
Centered on the Classic Flap, the collection brings together around 1,000 CHANEL bags carefully selected from around the world. Even two bags of the same model differ in age, in condition, in the character of the leather. NUIR ART presents them not merely as fashion items, but as art pieces — masterworks to be appreciated, not only owned. It is a new way to enjoy vintage.
The name NUIR comes from the German word “nur,” meaning “only” or “just one.” It carries our hope that here, you will meet the one special piece that is yours alone.
A-rank condition, with a card that tells each bag's story
Our selection centers on vintage pieces in excellent A-rank condition. Even within the same model, every bag differs in age, condition, and the texture of its leather. Each one is displayed with an information card outlining its features and specifications — so you can choose by instinct, while also learning the story behind the piece.
Gifts to celebrate the opening
To mark the opening, customers who make a purchase will receive gifts in limited quantities: an original drawstring pouch, a cobalt blue folding fan, and wet wipes. The store opens at the height of summer, so we chose things that bring a touch of coolness to the Shibuya heat — a small gesture of welcome. Available only while supplies last.
